Ive set the record straight.
Im not ashamed, nor am I proud of it.
That was the past,
And this is the future.
I am my own person
I am no longer being dragged in the shadow,
Of a great, kind old man.
Ive made my mark,
And hope it last.
I chose not to ignore my past,
But acknowledge that it needs to rewritten.
This is who I am,
I am no longer just his son,
